This training is a four-week, one-hour-per-week facilitated group discussion and deep dive into the Integrated Supervision Model (ISM) using the book IDM Supervision by Cal Stoltenberg, Ph.D. Participants are expected to read the book and participate in group discussions on the model, its applications, and the ethical utilization of the IDM model in supervision.

Description

  • The Integrative Developmental Model of Supervision, In contrast to other volumes on clinical supervision is a comprehensive, time-tested, and empirically investigated model of supervision.
  • Participants will learn the nuts and bolts of the IDM model of therapist development that spans from those entering the field through those with advanced training and years of experience.
  • Participants will learn about the research from numerous perspectives, including learning, cognition, and emotion. They will also receive an up-to-date treatment of research directly addressing the supervision process.
  • Participants will explore the model of clinical supervision from an evidence-based practice perspective.
  • Participants will learn ways the impact of cultural histories and contexts on impacting supervision and counselor development.
